For the genuine automotive enthusiast, driving is much more than a way to travel from point A to point B: getting behind the wheel should be an experience in and of itself.

This is the defining principle behind Italian supercar builder Ferrari’s latest high-powered production model, the 296 GTB. Boasting a best-in-class 830 horsepower from its all-new hybrid 2.9L V6 powertrain, the groundbreaking model is the first six-cylinder to display the iconic Prancing Horse badge and pays homage to the Dino and 250 Le Mans models of yesteryear. With a strikingly bold exterior and record-setting performance, the Ferrari 296 GTB offers a unique snapshot of the inevitable industry shift toward plug-in power.

The rear-wheel drive compact supercar boasts next-level hypercar performance, thanks in part to its cutting-edge technical enhancements and unique engine profile. The 296 GTB’s 120° vee engine configuration, affectionately dubbed the “piccolo V12”, breaks new barriers by cleverly integrating two turbochargers within the motor’s vee for significant improvements in power, heat management, and weight optimization. The result is a record-setting 663 horsepower from the vehicle’s V6 Internal Combustion Engine, and an additional 167 horsepower from the rear-mounted plug-in (PHEV) electric motor. Offering zero-to-sixty in under three seconds and a top speed of 205 miles per hour, the previously unimaginable combined power output places the 296 GTB at the top of the rear-wheel-drive sports car segment and marks a new era for the famed Italian marque.

Inheriting lessons from Ferrari’s revered Formula One team, the 296 GTB’s electric motor features MGU-K technology to help charge the 7.45 KwH high voltage battery while also incorporating a shorter wheelbase. The battery system provides up to 15 miles of electric-only range in eDrive mode and has been meticulously engineered to help the dual-clutch transmission deliver near immediate inputs from the 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Aerodynamics play an integral role in the 296 GTB’s overall performance as well, with a LaFerrari-inspired active rear spoiler and optimized airflow to its multiple radiators and brake cooling system. The model’s signature “tea-tray” aero device has been cleverly integrated within the front bumper to seamlessly manage airflow beneath the vehicle before exiting through the carbon fiber rear diffuser. Together with strategic aerodynamic enhancements to the sides, roof line, and engine bay, the 296 GTB’s streamlined design allows the vehicle to stick to the road without adding eccentric edges to its smooth curves.

To meet the acoustic expectations of a Ferrari, special attention was given to the supercar’s exhaust system by leveraging its unique 120° “hot-V” design to recreate the high-frequency sounds of a V12. Revving up to 8,500 RPMS, the 296 GTB is undoubtedly one of the best sounding six-cylinder models ever created. Inside the immaculate cabin, extensive use of carbon fiber perfectly complements the gorgeous Italian leather trim and colorful accents.

From the driver’s seat, Ferrari continues its idea of an entirely digital interface with a new touch-sensitive steering wheel and vehicle control system first introduced on the SF90 Stradale. Along with a traditional Ferrari Manettino, an integrated eManettino gives way to eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify drive modes. Defaulting to Hybrid at start-up, the 296 GTB delivers impressive fuel efficiency as a daily driver, and when you’d rather not disturb your neighbors, the eDrive setting lets you come and go quietly.

Naturally, we spent most of our time with the supercar in Performance or Qualify mode, with each offering incredible on-demand power and the handling you would expect from the famed Maranello manufacturer. Even with 800+ horsepower surging to the rear wheels, the Ferrari 296 GTB managed to tame the thoroughbred’s wild instinct into a perfectly balanced and easy to drive supercar worthy of taking to both the racetrack and the office.

McLaren Scottsdale, a division of Mike Ward Automotive Group, has officially opened the doors of a brand new 35,000-square-foot location with the distinction of being McLaren’s largest retail and service facility in the Americas. Adding to the reveal, the new state-of-the-art dealership will also offer a number of other highly sought-after supercar marques, some of which they unveiled in an extravagant invite-only event at their recent Grand Opening celebration.

Among the latest additions to the new Scottsdale dealership are a handful of ultra-rare and highly desirable hypercars. VIP guests of the kick-off event were given an up-close opportunity to see an impressive selection of the newly offered vehicles, beginning with the reveal of McLaren’s open-top Elva supercar. A variety of different paint schemes and MSO specifications of the stunning new model were on display throughout the showroom and service bays, along with a colorful selection of McLaren’s most exclusive vehicles like the Senna and 765LT. To the delight of many, an extremely elusive McLaren F1 was also proudly on display at the event.

California-based manufacturer Czinger and its ultra-cool Czinger 21C delivered the next highlight of the evening. The two-seater hypercar features a striking exterior and showcases futuristic technology aimed at truly unprecedented performance. Utilizing a patented additive manufacturing process with 3D printing technology to develop OEM components, the 21C marks a new era in automotive engineering. Kevin Czinger, company founder and CEO, was on hand to talk about the cutting-edge hypercar and provide guests with more information on what to expect from the US manufacturer.

Koenigsegg has also joined forces with McLaren Scottsdale, having announced its official dealership debut at Jetset Magazine’s very own private airplane hangar in early 2021 with the Scottsdale launch of the Gemera and Jesko Absolut. For the new McLaren dealership’s Grand Opening event, an extremely rare Koenigsegg CXXR Trevita was on-site, one of the most expensive new models ever sold by the brand. The legendary Trevita set the industry ablaze at launch, thanks in part to its one-of-a-kind diamond-weave carbon fiber body. The Trevita, which translates to “three whites” in the automaker’s native Swedish language, involved such a complex process to engineer that only two versions of the ground-breaking hypercar were ever completed. The opportunity to see one in person was truly a thrill for all in attendance.

John Hennessey, CEO of Hennessey Performance, was in attendance to unveil the stunning new Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution, also now available through the new dealership. The racetrack-ready hypercar features the automaker’s very own 6.6L twin-turbo ‘Fury’ V8 engine capable of producing a mind-bending 1,817 bhp. A fighter jet-style cockpit and yolk steering wheel deliver an unmatched driving experience for racing enthusiasts and aircraft aficionados alike. The All-American track-focused edition of the Venom F5 was just launched in January 2023, proving once again that McLaren Scottsdale is the premier source for high performance and exotic vehicles in the Southwest.

For the final reveal, Eric Rodriguez from Lotus Cars helped take the covers off the new Lotus Emira and delivered the announcement of the new Scottsdale dealership. Developed as the successor to the company’s Evora GT model, the Emira adds new technology and improved aerodynamics to the British brand’s flagship sports car, much of which takes inspiration from the all-electric Lotus Evija we wrote about previously.

McLaren Scottsdale continues to be at the forefront of the exotic car market, and with unforgettable events like this spectacular Grand Opening, it’s clear to see why it remains a leader in customer satisfaction, as well. Jetset Magazine has been a proud partner of McLaren Scottsdale for many years and we’re excited to see what the future holds for the new dealership. Visit their exquisite new location today at 7881 E. Gray Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85260 or online at mclarenscottsdale.com.

When you think of sports cars, an SUV is probably not the first thing that comes to mind, yet a recent trend toward performance-focused versions of the popular people mover is taking the streets by storm. With most luxury models on the market often considered on the high side of the cost spectrum, many potential buyers have pondered when a moderately priced option might become available. Meet the 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio AWD, a super sport utility vehicle with some seriously impressive performance, and all at a price well below what you might expect from a luxury Italian marque.

Inspired by a long line of Italian relatives and models such as its Giulia counterpart, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio AWD has earned substantial acclaim – including setting the illustrious Nürburgring circuit lap record for a production SUV when it first debuted in 2017. To accomplish such a gargantuan task, the track-ready Stelvio has been meticulously engineered with nearly perfect 50/50 weight distribution. Under the ventilated hood, the engine has been front-mid mounted, leaving the bulk of the all-aluminum 90-degree-mounted motor behind the front wheels. Innovative technologies such as a lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft and active torque vectoring of the vehicle’s rear differential help optimize balance, with adaptive damping of the Stelvio’s independent suspension regulating ride quality and cornering performance.

2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio AWD

2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio AWD

Featuring a race-tuned 2.9L twin-turbo V6 capable of making 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, the new Stelvio can reach a top speed of 176 mph and move from zero-to-sixty in 3.6 seconds. The sporty SUV’s oversized aluminum paddle shifters deliver ultra-quick inputs to the Quadrifoglio’s 8-speed automatic transmission, while also providing a pleasantly aggressive acoustic from the vehicle’s dual-mode exhaust system. Gorgeous 20-inch (or optional 21-inch) wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires have been intentionally offset an extra inch at the rear for improved grip and handling in a move that’s rare to the all-wheel-drive segment. Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power when it’s time to bring the vehicle to a halt.

From the driver’s seat, a ravishing interior further ups the appeal of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio, with striking design accents and extensive use of carbon fiber paneling throughout. Generous embellishments of Alfa Romeo’s famous Quadrifoglio (meaning “four-leaf clover” in Italian) abound as well, as a constant reminder that you’re lucky to be experiencing the automaker’s record-setting masterpiece. Front and rear heated seats plus a heated, leather-wrapped carbon fiber steering wheel add additional comforts to the model’s well-equipped amenities. Other luxuries that are offered as standard options include keyless entry and remote start, a wireless cellphone charger, 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, power adjustable front seats, a 115V auxiliary power outlet, and more. A smaller than usual, yet less obtrusive, 8.8-inch infotainment cluster grants easy access to navigation, entertainment, and the rear back-up camera.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio AWD offers four unique driving settings, accessible through the DNA Pro Drive Mode Selector. Placed in A (Advanced Efficiency Mode), the Stelvio intelligently modifies vehicle settings for maximum fuel efficiency. When in N (Natural Mode), the most practical daily driver settings are enabled giving way to the vehicle’s inherent engine response. Switch the Stelvio to Dynamic Mode and you’re awarded with improved steering feedback and the vehicle’s full power potential. Or, when it’s time to really get serious, an extended right turn of the knob selector activates Race Mode which disables traction and stability control, opens the exhaust baffles, and stiffens the dampers for full racetrack-ready performance.

With performance-driven features like these it’s easy to forget that this is still a functional family-sized SUV. The Stelvio includes all of the standard safety features you’d expect, such as forward collision warning, blind-spot detection, and lane departure warning. In fact, the only optional package available is the Active Assist Plus Package which adds additional functionality to the vehicle’s already advanced safety systems. Even when fully equipped with the manufacturer’s most expensive paint color and optional carbon fiber Sparco racing seats, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio AWD is available for a net price of only $98,260. That’s unbelievable value for a supercar-inspired SUV with enough room for the entire family. Plus, with its rich Italian racing heritage, it’s sure to fit in perfectly with your stable of prancing horses and raging bulls.

“It’s electric!” is no longer just a catchy 80’s lyric. The world at large has officially begun to embrace electric vehicles, and one optimistic US manufacturer is planning to take charge. With roots in the highly competitive sport of Formula E, luxury electric car manufacturer Lucid is making waves in the automotive industry with its first foray into the battery-powered space in the form of the Lucid Air – a grand tourer with next-level range and a multitude of modern day amenities. Currently available in a sprinkling of different trim levels, the brand’s Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance provides its most exclusive options, offering an unrivaled cabin experience and an astonishing 1,050 horsepower.

The Lucid Air certainly makes a striking first impression. The model’s unique appearance stands apart from other executive sedans with its bold bodywork and futuristic features. Instantly recognizable, the Air’s extraordinary exterior shell features a wrap-around glass canopy and subtle hints of the electric marque that are cleverly incorporated across various elements of the exterior. An array of LED integrations adds to the drama and provides an entertaining light show as you approach and exit.

Beneath the covers, the Grand Touring Performance is powered by a 118kWh battery pack delivering 900V of electricity to the Air’s two electric motors. Capable of adding as much as 200 miles of battery-range in as little as 12 minutes on a 300kW charger, the all-wheel-drive sedan produces more than a thousand horsepower and an impressive 921 lb-ft of torque that’s available at zero RPMs. Perhaps even more astonishing is the ability of each motor to rev up to a staggering 20,000 RPMs and propel the two and a half ton saloon to the coveted quarter-mile in just 10 seconds.

The Grand Touring Performance offers three unique driving modes: Smooth, Swift, and Sprint. The Air’s Smooth mode delivers an unexpectedly calm ride and feel while sending the model’s standard 819 hp to its 21” wheels and Pirelli P Zero tires. This mode also unlocks the vehicle’s full battery range potential, EPA estimated at a whopping 446 miles per charge (or an industry best 516 on the non-performance-oriented Grand Touring specification). In Swift mode, the Air offers a number of slightly noticeable improvements in handling and on-demand power while still maintaining extraordinary range. When it’s time to flex the Air’s muscles, a quick touch of the Sprint mode button unleashes the model’s full power potential with a significant boost in torque, for remarkable off-the-line performance and the ability to effortlessly pass other vehicles on the highway or in busy traffic situations.

Competing for market share among the world’s most popular luxury sedans, the Lucid Air inherently includes a variety of today’s must-have conveniences, both new and familiar. These consist of niceties such as soft close doors (front and rear), receding handles, remote open and close of both the frunk and trunk, 360-degree camera and parking assist, a 21-speaker sound system, plenty of storage space, and 20-way adjustable heated/ventilated massaging front seats.

Interior treatments in premium Nappa leather and custom-finished Alcantara (developed exclusively for Lucid) perfectly complement the Air’s stunning 34-inch curved touch-screen display, affectionately dubbed the Glass Cockpit. The vehicle’s central infotainment screen, which controls a majority of the Air’s functions and systems, can be electronically stowed away into the dash for easier access to storage, while a number of unique accent lighting themes help create the occupant’s ideal cabin environment.

Back seat passengers also enjoy innovative amenities such as temperature-controlled seats, powered side and rear privacy screens, and substantial leg room for optimal comfort. It’s certainly a setup worthy of hiring a chauffeur for those who prefer to be driven to their destination in VIP fashion.

Designated a “software-defined vehicle,” the Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance is loaded with next-gen technology. As is often the case with ground-breaking EVs, the brand’s optional DreamDrive™ Pro system utilizes a combination of 32 different sensors and Lidar to provide adaptive self-driving functionality. And while some of these futuristic features can be a bit confusing at first (like the lack of a start/stop button as the vehicle self-regulates these operations), the intelligent integration of over-the-air software updates is sure to streamline the owner experience as new and improved iterations of the Air’s UX interface emerge.

Built in Casa Grande, AZ, the Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance is available today from $179,000. Learn more at lucidmotors.com/air

A New Era of Innovation: Cars of the Future Prepare to Hit the Road

There’s a hot buzzword in today’s ultra-fast-paced automotive industry: automobility. The term symbolizes a movement toward autonomous vehicles and interconnected experiences for drivers and passengers alike. Staggering numbers of freshly-founded automakers seem to emerge across the globe each year, with the past twelve months delivering more than the usual selection of state-of-the-art vehicles loaded with groundbreaking technologies that leave old ideologies in the wind. The unique automobiles in Jetset’s 2023 Luxury Auto Preview, presented in an assortment of styles, platforms, and intentions, truly offer innovations for everyone.

Cars of the Future - Praga Bohema

Cars of the Future - Praga Bohema Hypercar

We begin our forward-looking tour with the cutting-edge Bohema hypercar from Czech marque Praga. The track-focused model’s head-turning aesthetics and neck-snapping performance redefine what it means to be a road-ready racecar. Sharing its 700 hp motor with the iconic Nissan GT-R, the Praga Bohema has been carefully re-tuned to deliver even more power from its twin-turbo V6. The hypercar’s powertrain also benefits from a new dry sump configuration and upgraded Litchfield Engineering turbochargers. Extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the bodywork gives the Bohema an impressively light curb weight under 1,000 kgs, with the ability to aerodynamically produce nearly 2,000 lbs of downforce at high speeds. Titanium exhaust pipes deliver aural stimulation, while the vehicle’s enticing exterior will impress anyone fortunate enough to see one of the 89 limited-edition vehicles in person. The Bohema truly shines on the track, where the 6-speed sequential gearbox and Pirelli Trofeo R tires (conveniently interchangeable with track-only Michelin slicks) deliver racecar-level performance.

Cars of the Future - Bugatti W16 Mistral Interior

Cars of the Future - Bugatti W16 Mistral

Cars of the Future - Bugatti W16 Mistral Rear

Revered French automaker Bugatti marks the end of an era with the release of its modern drop-top supercar, the W16 Mistral, the final vehicle to sport the brand’s hallowed W16 powertrain. With its rich roadster lineage, the W16 Mistral has been specifically developed to meet the demands of devoted Bugatti owners who’ve long awaited the return of the marque’s open-top design. Unveiled during Monterey Car Week to much acclaim, the stunning Bugatti W16 Mistral sports the same 1,600 hp motor found in the brand’s coveted Chiron Super Sport 300+, with styling reminiscent of the legendary 1934 Bugatti Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid. Radiating La Voiture Noire-esque appeal and a bold black and yellow color scheme in honor of Ettore Bugatti himself, the W16 Mistral has been meticulously engineered with uncompromising attention to detail in both beauty and performance optimization. Never wavering from the brand’s “Form Follows Performance” design mantra, everything from the vertically stacked headlights and horseshoe grille to the W16 Mistral’s Bolide-inspired X-theme taillights has been completely reengineered into a bespoke scheme offered exclusively in the new model. With its four-wheel-drive configuration and the same four high-powered turbochargers found in the record-setting Chiron Super Sport 300+, the brand declares, “There can only be one goal in mind: to become the fastest roadster in the world once more.”

Cars of the Future - Audi AI:TRAIL Quattro

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Audi’s AI:TRAIL quattro off-road vehicle offers a glimpse into the future of fully-electric sustainable mobility. Originally showcased at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Germany, the one-of-a-kind four-seater portends future autonomous driving with unrivaled off-road capabilities. A unique glass-encompassed cabin provides superior visibility for exploring nature in luxury with minimal onboard distractions to impede your view. The fourth vehicle in Audi’s series of concept cars with full-electric drive systems, the AI:TRAIL is powered by four electric motors plus systems for both assisted and automated driving on any terrain. As the name suggests, Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive remains a staple for the off-roader. Where the AI:TRAIL differs from its EV four ring counterparts, though, is its intended use for areas without charging infrastructure. The AI:TRAIL tackles the challenge head-on with 250 to 310 miles on paved roads, and as much as 155 miles on rough terrain where constant wheel slip significantly impacts power usage. By intelligently (and automatically) adjusting the torque to each wheel as needed, the AI:TRAIL optimizes energy efficiency and reduces battery consumption. Additionally, the model’s abundant size and 13.4 inch ride height allow access to otherwise unreachable destinations, with more than enough ground clearance to wade through as much as a half meter of water. Perhaps the most fascinating feature of the revolutionary ride is its advanced lighting system that utilizes five rotorless drones, dubbed Audi Light Pathfinders, to illuminate the trail ahead during navigation or as interior lighting though the vehicle’s transparent panoramic roof. Audi’s next-level off-road model is guaranteed to deliver an unmatched outdoor experience.

Cars of the Future - Deus Vayanne

Cars of the Future - Deus Vayanne Interior

The past year also boasted its share of automotive start-ups, many of them vying for EV market share. Austria-based Deus Automobiles is one such company whose debut entry in the highly-competitive segment is a 2,200 hp electric hypercar affectionately known as the Deus Vayanne. Touting some seriously impressive performance numbers, the Vayanne is said to produce a ridiculously powerful 1,475 lb-ft of torque. Deus boasts that its Vayanne model will reach 62 mph in less than two seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 mph. Developed in collaboration with Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering, the highly-anticipated Deus Vayanne is expected to reach production in 2025 and will be limited to just 99 examples.

Cars of the Future - Devel Sixteen

Similarly, and perhaps equally as mind-blowing, Devel Motors out of the United Arab Emirates has touted its Devel Sixteen hypercar’s performance for several years and looks to advance the concept in 2023. Said to be capable of producing 5,007 hp and 3,757 lb-ft of torque in its final form, the Devel Sixteen’s ultra-lightweight carbon fiber body is expected to help the optimistic automaker set new records for production car performance from the model’s gas-guzzling 12.3L V16 engine and four massive 81mm turbochargers. As the company puts it, “Devel Sixteen is born with extreme performance & unimaginable outstanding power of ten super cars, to pioneer a new era that never has been achieved before.” We’ll keep our fingers crossed as the world awaits this unprecedented road-legal rocketship.

Cars of the Future - Wiesmann Project Thunderball

Cars of the Future - Wiesmann Project Thunderball Interior

For classic car aficionados in search of a more nostalgic offering, Wiesmann’s Project Thunderball is giving off some seriously cool James Bond vibes. The fabled German automaker has returned to the starting grid with its battery-powered bite-size roadster. The carbon fiber two-seater is propelled by two rear-mounted electric motors that produce a combined 680 hp and 808 lb-ft of torque. The result is a zero-to-sixty time under three seconds and a range of more than 300 miles on a single charge. Project Thunderball’s 92 kWh battery pack receives additional support from Wiesmann’s bespoke 21-inch wheels equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and all with a rather low EV curb weight of 3,747 lbs. The storied German manufacturer has never offered its vehicles in the US, so expect to charter a flight across the pond if you’re hoping to secure a custom edition of the compact electric coupé.

Cars of the Future - Peugeot e-Legend Concept Front

Cars of the Future - Peugeot e-Legend Concept Interior

Cars of the Future - Peugeot e-Legend Concept Rear

With an ingenious tagline of #UnboringTheFuture, French auto firm Peugeot’s e-Legend Concept is one of our favorites among the recently unveiled new vehicles. The brand’s vision of autonomous driving invokes a world where technology and enjoyment work in harmony. With an aesthetic not unlike Wiesmann’s Project Thunderball, the compact e-Legend Concept takes future-forward design to new heights with the integration of high-tech componentry and ultra-luxe materials. Specifically designed to provide a fully immersive driving experience, the e-Legend Concept offers two self-driving and two manual modes. When set to an autonomous mode, drive-by-wire technology converts the vehicle’s interior into a spacious leisure area by folding the steering wheel away and repositioning the front seats. The model’s 49-inch curved center screen, plus screens located in each sunshade, provide viewing access to your favorite movie or the built-in game console. AI-powered voice control lets both driver and passenger take full advantage of the car’s driving modes and autonomous settings.

Cars of the Future - Bentley Bacalar by Mulliner

A handful of luxury sedans have also received the future-forward treatment, notably including Bentley’s gorgeous Bacalar model. The roofless grand tourer marks a long-awaited return to coachbuilding for Bentley’s Mulliner bespoke outfitter. The British barchetta takes inspiration from the acclaimed EXP 100 GT concept car and is powered by a reinvigorated version of the marque’s 6.0L twin-turbocharged W12 engine. The two-seater’s performance boasts 650 bhp and 667 lb-ft of torque, offering more than enough get-up-and-go when desired. Featuring a mind-boggling 750 new components, many of which were derived from rapid additive manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing, the Bacalar makes clever use of ethically-sourced materials such as reclaimed wood from trees that fell over 5,000 years ago and exterior paint colors created using rice husk ash. Completely bespoke in its delivered decadence, only 12 units of this rare Bentley will be produced.

When it comes to luxury automobiles, there’s no question that the S-Class is considered one of the absolute finest sedans on the market. The elegantly outfitted saloon is firmly seated at the top of the brand’s production vehicle lineup and includes a wealth of comfort and convenience features throughout. Naturally then, we jumped at the opportunity to get behind the wheel when Mercedes-Benz invited us to take the S580 4MATIC for a spin and give our readers the inside scoop on what makes the latest member of the S-Class family the new benchmark for the segment.

Beneath the bonnet of the latest S-Class lies the automaker’s tried and true 4.0L Biturbo V8 engine, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. In its modern form, the S580’s powertrain also benefits from the addition of a cleverly integrated Mild-Hybrid Drive system capable of producing up to 496 horsepower and an impressive 516 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than ample performance to help get you through traffic in a flash. AIRMATIC suspension and an adaptive damping system ensure an ultra-smooth ride, with optional 21” wheels and noise reduction foam tires adding next-level peace and tranquility to the S580’s whisper-quiet cabin.

Completely redesigned for 2022, the S580 4MATIC’s large front grille is unmistakable and wittily integrates the vehicle’s radar, sensors, and front facing camera. Also new for the latest member of the S-Class family, Mercedes-Benz have reintroduced their famous hood ornament to add a bit of extra pizazz and help onlookers easily identify the ultra-luxurious executive sedan.

The new S-Class offers a number of intelligent driver assists, as well, to further enhance the driving experience and deliver the utmost in advanced safety technology. A few highlights include rear-axle steering, active parking assist, a surround view camera system, dash cam, blind spot assist, and an ingenious LED light system with adaptive and ultrawide high beams that puts on a nifty lightshow at startup. Additionally, the S580 4MATIC sedan incorporates a gorgeous ambient interior lighting package capable of a multitude of color combinations (also found in the EQS580 we previously tested), along with elegant exterior lighting to help you comfortably enter and exit the vehicle at night.

Comfort amenities abound in each of the model’s three distinct trim levels – Luxury Line, AMG Line, and Executive Line. Each includes unique features such as touch-sensitive controls, soft close doors, a panoramic roof, stunning diamond-pattern leather stitched interiors, optional microfiber suede pillow rests, a Mercedes-Benz Air Balance Cabin Fragrance system, flush receding door handles with power folding mirrors, and perfectly bolstered front seats that automatically inflate to hug driver and front seat passenger during cornering. Heated and ventilated 12-way power front seats w/ memory and massage functions, plus optional rear seat functionality and heated steering wheel and armrests, deliver additional comfort during any season.

Back seat passengers (or for those owners who prefer to use a chauffeur) also benefit from the new S580’s upgrades with powered retractable side and rear window shades and considerable rear-seat leg room. Along with a handful of other added features, an optional removable rear-cabin MBUX tablet gives access to the vehicle’s interface and comfort settings when equipped with the Rear Seat Package or with the Executive Line trim.

On the tech front, the S580’s portrait-oriented 12.8-inch central touchscreen infotainment system utilizes OLED technology for superior clarity. Coupled with a 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument cluster, the new S-Class also includes augmented video for navigation and heads-up display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and a Burmester 3D surround sound system.

After spending a few days at the helm of the new S580, we can confidently confirm that the S-Class continues to epitomize the definition of luxury. The elevated level of fit and finish, along with a plethora of new technology, make this one model we absolutely must add to the fleet. If you have yet to experience the S580 4MATIC for yourself, we highly recommend a test drive at your local dealership. We simply can’t think of a more luxurious option for daily driving.

Grant Cardone: Living His Best Life, To the Power of 10X

The path to financial success is often built upon a strong foundation of real estate investments. Ask any billionaire how they acquired their wealth and the answer will almost always include an early-stage venture into the sector. For the most successful, those titans of industry whose unmatched financial savvy and influence shape the world around them, the value of a deep understanding of real estate investing cannot be overstated. Visionary entrepreneur and social media icon Grant Cardone, one of the most prominent real estate moguls in modern history, is raising the bar by inspiring millions of devoted followers to join him on his journey and follow his unconventional approach to building financial security.

You’ve almost certainly heard of Cardone. The charismatic investor is globally recognized for his business-building leadership and the massively popular 10X business concept that’s helped fuel his meteoric rise on the world stage. With a portfolio of real estate investments worth north of four billion dollars, the innovative influencer has used his knowledge and experience to teach others how to build substantial wealth, all while also building his empire of successful businesses. CEO, entrepreneur, real estate investor, NY Times bestselling author, expert sales trainer, social media guru, and motivational public speaker barely scratch the surface of what makes Grant Cardone a genuine success story. We sat down with the jetsetting businessman to learn more about how he built his fortune and what it takes to become one of the most recognized names on the world wide web.

Grant Cardone wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth, unlike many of his billionaire colleagues. Originating from humble beginnings, the larger-than-life personality tells us his upbringing was significantly impacted by the death of his father when he was only ten. Cardone’s dad was the son of two Italian immigrants, and he worked feverishly to support his family. Having lived through the Great Depression, his father was the first in his family to get a formal education.

“My dad grinded to get our family into the middle class, and even though I was a very young boy, I knew he was proud of his achievements. He died only a short year after he had finally confirmed our family’s position in the middle class: home and car paid for and a little life insurance,” he states as we delve into what inspired the savvy entrepreneur to break the mold. “My dad didn’t work hard because he wanted fancy stuff. He did so because he thought it was his responsibility to provide for his wife and kids. He approached work as his duty to provide for his family. He instilled this work ethic in me by how he lived his life.”

According to Cardone, his mother was a stay-at-home mom prior to his father’s passing, without any meaningful training or employable skills, who spent much of her time clipping coupons out of fear that there wouldn’t be enough money to pay the bills. Cardone expresses how he could feel her fear and the stress the financial insecurity imposed. In his teenage years, the grief and resentment over losing his father took Cardone down a path that ultimately led to drug and alcohol use. By the time he was 18, he was using drugs almost every day, and at age 20 he experienced yet another major loss when his older brother died suddenly from an accident. The trauma only accelerated his substance abuse problems, leading him to feel like a disappointment to both himself and his family.

A few years later, at the age of 23, Cardone ended up in the hospital after nearly being killed by some unsavory people he was mixed up with. That was when he realized he had hit rock bottom and made the decision to completely change his life. As he says, “It was that day I decided success is not an option. I have to have it and turn myself around. It’s all about me now.” Quitting all drugs, alcohol, and anything else that was holding him back, Cardone committed to becoming the best version of himself. That journey was not without significant hurdles, though, as the economy was in a slump and with record unemployment, he had no option but to take a job in car sales.

Speaking of that time, he tells us, “I decided to make the best of it. I learned everything I could about selling cars. I spent the next two years developing my sales skills and saving my money. From there, I used that money to buy my first piece of real estate.” As the story goes, Cardone was eventually fired from that auto sales job for something he didn’t do. “This pissed me off. I swore that I would never depend on anyone else for a job again. And I put all of my effort and energy into starting and growing my own business.”

“I had become very good as a salesperson and so I started consulting with businesses, teaching them how to increase their sales using customer retention and customer satisfaction strategies I had created. That business kept me busy traveling the country, logging 3 million air miles on United, Delta and Continental.” He further confesses, “I have never been a stock guy and I hated saving money at the bank, so I started buying apartment buildings in my free time.”

Grant Cardone amassed significant wealth from his initial investments, but the real estate business was not without woes of its own. The recession of 2008 put Cardone’s resiliency to the test, as each of his businesses were all but obliterated in the wake of the financial downturn. He and his wife had a new baby on the way at the time and, as he explains, “The Great Recession Wake Up Call forced me to understand a few million dollars of net worth, two businesses, and a couple of hundred apartments was NOT enough to ensure my future. I had to go 10 TIMES (10X) bigger, ten times more customers, 10X more verticals (industries), 10X the income, 10X the properties, 10X the employees, 10X everything.”

Cardone’s outrageously successful 10X concept was born.

“Just 12 years ago, I only had three employees and two businesses and 260 apartment units. I was flying commercial everywhere and all my business combined probably did $2M per year. Today, I run eight different businesses, gross income is $155M in revenue from the businesses, another $350M from the 12,440 apartment units, I fly private on a 2020 Gulfstream 650ER, an Augusta 139 Helicopter, and my partner at Cardone Ventures operates a Falcon 900. Rather than having a couple of hundred customers, today I have almost four million who do business with me in 160 countries.”

The visionary entrepreneur has since gone on to inspire millions of people across the globe by sharing his story and the secrets of his success as an investor and real estate expert. Combined with his years of sales consulting experience, Cardone’s bestselling book, The 10X Rule, led the international magnate to launch the 10X Growth Conference, 10X Global Movement, and a number of Cardone-branded companies, all with a mission to “help others improve their businesses, careers, finances and relationships.”

There’s no disputing his phenomenal success as an author, business luminary, and CEO of multiple subsidiaries including Cardone Capital, Cardone Ventures, Cardone Training Technologies, and The Grant Cardone Foundation. We asked the colorful castle-builder to share some insights with our readers about what it takes to master the dynamics of real estate, become a highly respected social media influencer, and use his reach to create multi-million-dollar crowdfunding campaigns.

Cardone tells us the three things people struggle with most in real estate are discipline, patience, and not thinking big enough. (Thinking big is his own personal mantra and the fuel behind his meteoric rise). As he wisely states, “In real estate, it’s not if you make money; the question is when. Real wealth is created over time, not quarters – much less, minutes. And one of the reasons I love real estate so much is I am able to invest in an asset and be paid to wait (passive income monthly) and as rents increase over time, so will the value of the property.”

While he candidly admits that the best time to invest in real estate was 20 years ago, Cardone firmly believes in the future of the sector, predicting that “investors, not homeowners, will continue to represent a larger majority of those purchasing single family homes in America. [The US] is becoming a nation of renters and nothing can change that. Inflation will only make [home ownership] less possible.”

Always thinking 10X bigger, Grant Cardone employs a similar approach to social media. “People make social media success harder than it needs to be. Frequency and quantity beat production and quality,” he tells Jetset. “I am never trying to go viral or be popular, and I never worry about how much I post. I don’t use filters or much editing, and I know quantity is senior to quality – or at least it has been for me. I share everything with [my followers]: the jet, helicopters, the real estate purchases, our victories, setbacks, the travel, and I do this on good hair days and bad. My policy is promote, promote, promote. @grantcardone”

Remarkably, Cardone says he’s raised almost $1B in cash without using brokers and banks, instead allowing anyone to invest in his business ventures through crowdfunding. His proven track record of success has empowered millions of followers to watch for his next investment and have the chance to earn passive income every month, along with tax benefits from any remaining depreciation. He proudly professes, “While many people raise money for real estate, no one has ever done what I am doing.”

The crowdsourcing concept carries over into Cardone’s philanthropic efforts as well, leveraging his massive following to help others in need. In addition to his 10X Health initiative (focused on wellness and positive energy), The Grant Cardone Foundation is designed specifically to help children without fathers. The charity’s mission statement is “To provide mentoring and financial literacy education to adolescents in underserved and at-risk populations, especially those without a father figure.”

He proudly declares, “I can’t think of a more worthwhile goal – especially because I grew up poor and without a father figure myself. Every single person will have a different story, but where you start has nothing to do with where you end up. With the right information and a dedication to success, anyone can become a millionaire. My greatest passion is helping people do just that.”

Grant Cardone is an impressively fit 64-year-old. When asked how he maintains his vigorous health as a busy jetsetting entrepreneur, he notes how a commitment to his personal well-being led to the purchase of another business now known as 10X Health. “I start each day and follow what we call our 10X Health System Super Human Protocols with my exercise, recovery, managing any joint pain, and boosting my immune system. Business is about creativity, energy, passion, leadership and being a good example. How can you do any of this if you are in pain, don’t have the energy and don’t feel good about yourself?” While a strict diet is not a major component of his regime, he says he tries to eat healthy, nutritious food and always leaves a little on his plate.

Cardone shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Asked what our readers can expect from the Cardone brand over the next few years, he says, “You can always expect me to 10X everything I have already done.” From growing his real estate holdings and expanding his wellness business to more than 1,000 10X Health Centers, to shooting seven entrepreneur television shows and continuing to sell out events like the 2023 10X Growth Conference (10xgrowthcon.com), Cardone reiterates, “We are teaching people that the only way to protect themselves is through expansion. If you aren’t expanding, you’re contracting.”

We couldn’t wrap up our conversation with Cardone before asking him about his passion for private jets and fast cars. While he happily admits that the time savings and convenience of flying private are noteworthy benefits, he highlights another great perk: “I get to take my family with me everywhere and they all work with me in the business. So I get the best of all worlds, watching my kids grow up and having an influence on them while being on a business trip. We homeschool the girls, just at 51,000 feet and 700 mph.”

In terms of high-end supercars and luxury sedans, Cardone reiterates, “One of the smartest things I did in my life was that I didn’t go and buy exotic cars like so many of my friends the first time they got a little bit of money.” He suggests that people who want to create wealth should wait to spend their money on watches and cars until their investments can pay for them. “People should convert earned income to assets and wait for the assets to produce passive income that buys the Rolls-Royce or the Gulfstream. That’s what I did. I didn’t buy the stupid stuff (including the jet) until I could follow my When to Buy Stupid Stuff Rules: (1) Able to buy two of them, (2) from passive Income, (3) with cash, not debt, and (4) admit it is still stupid.”

Finally, we asked Mr. Cardone to share one piece of advice he would give his younger self. His response perfectly encapsulates the man behind the marketing machine: “I would think much BIGGER. I would give myself permission to be completely obsessed. I would not do what I am good at, I would do what I could get super rich at. I would GO all in and stay broke (as I have done in my life and still do today). I would run from the middle-class, giving anything that suggests comfort the middle finger and bet on my real true potential. And lastly, the most important thing is to help others become all you become and more.”

We couldn’t have said it better.

Legendary British manufacturer McLaren Automotive has never backed down from a challenge. From the brand’s iconic McLaren F1 supercar to its more modern McLaren Elva and track-centric McLaren Senna, the celebrated automaker has long been globally recognized as a leader in performance engineering. As new manufacturers and well-established marques push the envelope with ground-breaking designs and next-level power, McLaren is meeting the moment for its devout aficionados in search of something truly special.

The sixth and newest member of the McLaren Ultimate Series, recently unveiled at Monterey Car Week, takes its inspiration from a uniquely contemporary concept: a video game. Yes, you read that right. The thrilling McLaren Solus GT is fashioned after a virtual concept car featured in the wildly popular video game series Gran Tourismo. It’s the quintessential embodiment of McLaren’s Special Operations moniker. The digital-only Vision Gran Tourismo concept vehicle has surprisingly become a reality that offers fortunate buyers “as close to the experience and feel of driving a Formula 1 car as you can get.”

Loaded with Formula 1 inspired technology, the Solus GT is powered by a neck-snapping 5.2L V10 engine and 7-speed sequential gearbox with straight-cut gears that have been integrated into the bespoke carbon fiber chassis. Also worthy of note, the newest McLaren’s engine has individual barrel-driven throttle bodies and uses no belts or chains, instead using gear-driven components to help produce an impressive 830 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Capable of revving to more than 10,000 RPMs, the single-seater has been delegated as a track-only vehicle and will be made available only to a select handful of McLaren customers. Each of the 25 ultra-exclusive limited-edition racecars will include a bespoke fitting for the driver, complete with a custom molded seat, FIA-homologated race suit, racing helmet, and HANS device.

Climbing in and out of the eye-catching hypercar is also unique thanks to the vehicle’s sliding canopy and central-seating design. Step into the Solus GT and strap in with the six-point harness for the perfect racetrack-ready driving position. You’ll find nearly all control buttons and surfaces located directly on the F1-style steering wheel to ensure you can remain focused on the road ahead without any unnecessary distractions.

When it’s time to hit the track, the McLaren Solus GT’s large front splitter steers air through the vehicle’s Venturi tunnels underneath, before exiting out of the massive rear diffuser. Combined with the model’s twin-layer rear wing, the Solus GT’s aerodynamic design produces a staggering 2,646-lbs of downforce – significantly more than the vehicle’s ultralight 2,205 lbs curb weight. Further enhanced by the Formula 1-style carbon monocoque and 3D printed titanium halo structure and roll bar, McLaren estimates the futuristic racer to move from zero to sixty in less than 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of at least 200mph. Intended to be an “extreme expression of track driving engagement”, this is one far-out concept made real. We can only hope we have a chance to see it in action one day.

Park Hyatt Aviara: Low-Key Luxury in Southern California

When it comes to luxury accommodations in Southern California, the newly reimagined Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa is setting new standards for affluent travelers in search of an exceptionally elegant experience. The resort’s recently completed $50M renovations have helped position the hallowed hideaway of the rich and famous as SoCal’s premier open-air post-COVID-era retreat. Secluded away from the busy beach resorts and popular tourist attractions of San Diego’s colorful metropolis, the Park Hyatt Aviara provides an excellent alternative for jetsetters who prefer a more sophisticated stay. We were recently honored to be one of the first publications to cover the newly renovated property, with the opportunity to take in all that the Aviara has to offer. The experience certainly went far above and beyond our expectations.

Perfectly positioned in the heart of the affluent Carlsbad neighborhood with which it shares its name, Aviara’s recent renovations further cement its legendary status, having earned the property both the prestigious Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond awards. The lavish resort covers more than 200-acres of lush landscape and is brimming with amenities capable of meeting any guest’s expectations. From the Arnold Palmer signature golf course and world-class dining, to the stunning 15,000 sq-ft spa and immaculately manicured gardens, the Aviara provides a luxurious alternative to San Diego’s more common hotel options. Originally developed as part of the Four Seasons resort collection, the illustrious property was rebranded in 2010 as the Park Hyatt Aviara, Golf Club & Spa and saw its modern-day makeover completed during the pandemic in the fall of 2020.

Each of the Aviara’s 327 completely redesigned guest rooms and 43 luxury suites boast ample space and easy access to the resort’s various amenities. Rooms on the main floor include fully furnished terraces (perfect for those who prefer traveling with their posh pets), while coastal view rooms feature marble bathrooms, jacuzzi tubs, separate living room areas, and balcony seascapes of the Pacific Ocean. For golf lovers, Aviara’s 1,640 sq-ft Palmer Suite includes the unique addition of a patio putting green for honing your short game prior to your scheduled tee time. One thing is certain: no matter which room you choose at this resort, you are sure to be impressed upon arrival and depart feeling vibrantly rejuvenated.

When it’s time to eat, Aviara’s three on-site restaurants cater to a variety of tastes. Whether you’re looking for a cocktail and casual bite at the hotel’s Pacific Point lobby bar, or want to enjoy breakfast and room service from the Baja-inspired Ponto Lago, the abundant dining options at Aviara are designed to satisfy any appetite. The resort’s new gourmet restaurant, Ember & Rye, arises out of a collaboration with world-renowned chef and TV personality Richard Blais. Serving a sumptuous selection of surf-and-turf options influenced by local ingredients and flavors, the popular palate-pleasing eatery is strategically located overlooking the 18th green in a casual vintage clubhouse setting. A dedicated shuttle to transport guests to and from the delectable dining experience runs throughout the evening, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal without needing to worry about traversing across the expansive property. Our driver offered a few noteworthy recommendations including the clever Oysters & Pearls appetizer featuring nitrogen-frozen edible “pearls” which added a nice touch to the popular menu item. The Aviara Golf Club is home to the annual LPGA JTBC classic, and Ember & Rye’s clever location provides the ideal opportunity for golf enthusiasts to soak up the Southern California sun while enjoying a delicious meal along the outskirts of the phenomenal Arnold Palmer-designed golf course.

Speaking of golf enthusiasts, Park Hyatt Aviara also offers guests the opportunity to reserve one of two Topgolf Swing Suites. Located directly across from the Pacific Point lobby bar, the popular entertainment option gives guests access to virtual golf simulators with food and beverage service, as well as HDTVs and a music player. It’s a great way to spend a few hours with your group of friends or family while also perfecting your golf swing.

Additional entertainment amenities on the property include state-of-the-art tennis facilities, a large recreation center and game lawn located at the Aviara Golf Club that offers volleyball, a croquet field, horseshoes, a badminton court and bocce ball, and two well-equipped swimming pools. For the latter option, the Splash Pool Deck features an all-new two-story waterslide (similar to what you might see at a high-end resort in the Caribbean) along with beach entry pool and splash pad for smaller swimmers, while the adults-only Ocean View Pool Deck provides a selection of private cabanas perfect for spending a relaxing afternoon with views of the nearby Batiquitos Lagoon and Pacific Ocean. Having had the chance to enjoy a few hours in a poolside cabana, we can confirm it’s a great substitute for a day at the beach if you prefer to avoid the big crowds and parking pains of the area’s popular tourist spots.

If relaxation sits at the top of your priority list, the world-class Aviara Spa comprises an impressive 20 treatment rooms along with an indoor solarium lounge, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, and separate men’s and women’s locker rooms. The floral-themed oasis offers a variety of skincare and massage options, ranging from traditional Swedish massage to sea stone and deep tissue techniques guaranteed to leave you feeling refreshed and ready to make the most of your travel experience. A number of luxurious facial and body scrub treatments using signature mineral oils and masks, as well as private fitness classes and complimentary valet parking, are also available.

After spending a few days at the sensational Park Hyatt Aviara, Golf Club & Spa, we have to admit it was hard returning to reality. For those planning a visit to the sunny city of San Diego, we can’t think of a better option for luxurious accommodations, unmatched amenities, and unparalleled service. It’s a true five-star experience worthy of any jetsetter’s consideration.

The All-New Bronco Raptor: Beefed Up and Built to be Bold

Even the casual observer can’t help but notice the number of new vehicles on the road today that take their inspiration from icons of days gone by. Auto manufacturers are looking to the past for creative ways to remind brand fans and classic car enthusiasts of their history, and nothing shouts nostalgia louder than Ford’s go-anywhere powerhouse, the Bronco Raptor.

All-new for 2022, the Raptor is the most off-road capable SUV from Ford to date. Powered by a Raptor-tuned 3.0L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 producing 418hp and 440 lb-ft of torque, the beefed-up Bronco offers up to 4,500 lbs of towing capacity and an ultra-quick shifting 10-speed automatic transmission with almost zero turbo-lag. Outfitted with 37-inch BFGoodrich K02 all-terrain tires and 17-inch alloy wheels, the Bronco Raptor sits 13.1 inches off the ground and includes upgraded suspension with FOX Live Valve 3.1 damper technology that allows for wheel travel of up to 13.0 inches in the front and 14.0 inches in the rear (60% and 40% more respectively than the base model). Pair that technology with the vehicle’s advanced 4×4 system with automatic on-demand engagement and you have one of the most off-road-ready rides available today.

On the outside, a variety of styling cues and active aerodynamic elements deliver an unmistakable appearance that is guaranteed to turn heads. Available only in a 4-door configuration, the newest Raptor comes equipped with a removable hardtop and doors that are lightweight enough to handle without the need for additional help. Extended fender flares, heavy duty full-vehicle steel bash plates, hood and fender vents, Rock Rails with removable running boards, the brand’s iconic Raptor grille, and a modular front bumper with LED fog & off-road lamps create a unique look and feel that help the newest member of the Raptor family meet the expectations of any potential buyer. An internally reinforced frame with extra crossmember in the front of the roll cage and a carbon “bow tie” brace at the back help to increase body rigidity by an impressive 50%, while additional strengthening to the spare tire carrier has been added to support the increased weight of the Raptor’s extra wheel during aggressive off-roading. The Bronco Raptor is also nearly 10 inches wider than its base model little brother, measuring in at a width that requires the vehicle to use amber markers along the center of the hood to meet NTSB safety regulations.

A plethora of Raptor-themed enhancements abound inside the cabin. From the optional carbon fiber trim package and upgraded leather/suede seats, to the smorgasbord of modern technology amenities now available as standard equipment, the latest edition of the popular SUV includes everything you need to arrive and drive in superior comfort and convenience. Interior features include dual-zone electronic temperature controls, heated seats, an optional Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker sound system, 12-inch touchscreen LCD infotainment center w/ Ford’s Sync 4 interface (plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), WiFi hotspot, remote start and keyless entry, bling-spot monitoring, 12-inch digital LCD instrument cluster, rubberized flooring with drain plugs (or optional carpet with rubber floor mats), auxiliary switches with pre-run accessory wires, and a built-in AC power outlet.

The real magic, though, lies in the vehicle’s surprisingly smooth driving characteristics. While the new Raptor is without a doubt Ford’s most powerful and off-road-inspired Bronco ever, it’s also impressively comfortable to drive on the pavement. Whereas a majority of 4×4 vehicles tend to deliver a less than desirable on-road experience, the newest member of the Bronco family somehow manages to provide a pleasant ride whether on the highway or in the high desert. A number of innovative driver assistance functions help optimize the vehicle’s performance, thanks to Ford’s CoPilot 360 suite which includes forward and reverse sensing systems, trail control, trail turn control (a nifty feature), hill start assist, trail one-pedal drive, electronic locking front and rear axles, a front stabilizer bar disconnect, and rear view and 360-degree cameras.

When it’s time to take to the trails, Ford’s Rock Crawl mode switches the two-speed transfer case to low range, locks the rear differential, and disconnects the front anti-roll bar to allow for some seriously memorable rock climbing. The front diff can also be locked with the push of a button, while a feed from the SUV’s front camera acts as a digital spotter. The new Raptor model also comes armed with Ford’s Terrain Management System (TMS) with 7 “G.O.A.T. Modes” (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain), giving access to a variety of unique driving settings. One particularly shrewd piece of engineering allows a quick press of the steering wheel’s R button to access the owner’s personalized settings for instant engagement of a handful of customizable performance attributes. While each of the various modes offers individual benefits, the “off-road only” Baja setting was easily our favorite, thanks in part to Ford’s clever inclusion of the popular anti-lag function and multimode exhaust note for an undeniably cool sound.

After spending a week behind the wheel of the Bronco Raptor, we can wholeheartedly confirm it’s worthy of consideration if you’re in the market for a diligent daily driver with extremely impressive off-road capabilities. And while the new Ford model isn’t available with a high-powered V8 like many of the competitors in its segment, the SUV offers better driving dynamics and a stylish new appearance to help you stand out from the crowd. Overall, we think it’s a Jurassic improvement versus its all-too-familiar industry counterpart.
